Need help right now?
24/7 accident emergency · Immediate help, day or night
Right after
The first minutes, one step at a time
No need to memorize anything: keep this list, and call us when you get to step 5.
-
Get yourself to safety
You first, the car second. Pull over if you can and turn on your hazard lights.
-
Call emergency services if needed
Injuries, danger on the road or an unstable situation: call 911 before anything else.
-
Exchange information
Names, phone numbers, insurers and licence plates of everyone involved. A joint report helps you record it all: it can also be filled out online (see below).
-
Take photos if it’s safe
The damage, the position of the vehicles, the scene. Only if you can do it without putting yourself at risk.
-
Call Beaucage Carrossier
We’ll tell you exactly what to do next, and send a tow truck if your vehicle can’t be driven.
-
We coordinate the rest with your insurer
No running around between the insurer, the shop and the rental counter: we handle it with you.
Step 3 · Exchange information
The joint report can be filled out online
The Groupement des assureurs automobiles (GAA) offers an online joint report: you record each driver’s information, add photos of the damage, and the tool sends a PDF to both parties. Filling it out is not an admission of liability.
Open the online joint reportGAA website, opens in a new tab.

Depending on the situation, some steps (police report, notifying your insurer) may be required: your insurer or the authorities will guide you for your specific case.
Before getting back on the road
Don’t drive the vehicle if…
- fluid is leaking under the vehicle;
- a wheel or the steering feels damaged;
- a critical warning light is on;
- a part is rubbing against a tire;
- the headlights or turn signals you need no longer work;
- you’re not sure the vehicle is safe.
When in doubt, stay off the road and call us to figure out the next steps. That’s what our 24/7 towing is for.

Frequently asked questions
- Is my vehicle safe to drive?
- When in doubt, don’t take the chance: call us and describe the damage. If the vehicle isn’t safe, our 24/7 towing will come get it.
- Should I call my insurer before the body shop?
- Either order works. If you call us first, we help you prepare your claim and then coordinate the file with your insurer. The details are on our insurance and claims page.
- Can I choose my own body shop?
- Even if your insurer recommends a shop, you generally keep the choice of where your vehicle gets repaired. Our Sherbrooke and Granby shops are there for the next steps.
- How does the courtesy vehicle work?
- We have 80 courtesy vehicles, lent based on availability and your claim’s eligibility, for as long as the repairs take.
- What should I bring?
- Your driver’s licence, your proof of insurance and, if you have them, your claim number and the joint accident report. Don’t worry if a paper is missing: we’ll sort it out together.
- How long does an estimate take?
- Timing depends on the extent and accessibility of the damage. Once we’ve seen the vehicle, we explain the next steps and the expected timeline for the estimate. See our collision repair page.
- What if the accident happens at night or on the weekend?
- Towing answers 24/7. Your vehicle is brought somewhere safe at our shop, and we call you back as soon as we open to plan the next steps.
